Debian installed in your home

It's been a while that I wanted to do it and I finally made the plunge. I state that the first love never forget, so I left alone my dear laptop in Ubuntu 7.10. It should be like a dream and I really annoys me a bit to replace it with any other GNU / Linux. I noticed, however, that the home PC with Ubuntu, I gave a lot of trouble: I then installed a Debian Testing, codenamed Lenny, and now everything runs smoothly. From now on I will be forced to knock on more things and problems, to obtain a 100% performance. Ubuntu is a great system, and especially working now compatible with most hardware in circulation at the expense of the slowness of the system. Debian is most difficult, hard, but that's okay. One more opportunity to learn new things. On the other hand is a more responsive, lighter and above all more stable. We'll let you know my impressions in the coming days.
